BreakopPrivacy Policy
1. Who we are
Breakop ("we", "us") runs breakop.com, a platform to plan, build, automate and test digital products with AI, vetted experts and teams. For any privacy question write to [email protected].
2. What we collect
- Account data — your name, e-mail address and password (stored as a secure hash), or, when you choose "Continue with LinkedIn", the name, e-mail address and profile photo LinkedIn shares with us. We never receive your LinkedIn password and we do not post anything to LinkedIn.
- Profile data you add — for experts: title, headline, bio, skills, rates, languages, portfolio items, links to your other platforms and certifications.
- Work data — projects, tasks, test cases, issues, requirements (BRDs), product briefs, tenders and offers, comments and wall posts, and files or links you attach.
- Payment data — wallet top-ups are processed by our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy). We receive the amount and status, never your full card number.
- Technical data — basic logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, errors) needed to run and secure the service, and the referral source of a visit.
3. How we use it
- To create your account, sign you in and keep it secure.
- To provide the service: run your projects, show your public expert profile, match clients with experts, and run tenders.
- To send e-mails about your work (assignments, reviews, offers, replies, password resets). You can unsubscribe from non-essential e-mails at any time from the link in each e-mail.
- To run AI features you request (for example AI Scan or the competitor comparison). The content of that request is sent to our AI provider only to produce the result.
- To prevent abuse and to improve the product.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Who can see it
- Public: an approved expert profile, its portfolio and its wall, and open tenders.
- Your team: members of the same company or project see the work data of that company or project.
- Service providers that process data for us under contract: Supabase (database and sign-in), Cloudflare (hosting), Resend (e-mail delivery), Lemon Squeezy (payments), Anthropic (AI features), and LinkedIn when you sign in with it.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
5. Cookies and local storage
We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your language, theme and drafts (such as an unfinished product brief). We do not use advertising cookies.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, or ask us to, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except what we must keep by law (for example payment records).
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, and object to processing. Most of it can be changed from your account; for anything else e-mail [email protected] and we answer within 30 days. To disconnect LinkedIn, remove Breakop from your LinkedIn settings under "Permitted services".
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), access is limited by role, and every table is protected by row-level security so people only reach what they are allowed to.
9. Children
Breakop is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we update the date above, and we tell you by e-mail or in the product when the change matters.
